An Afternoon of Free Recitals Culminating in a Pay-What-You-Can Performance by the EMF Orchestral Fellows This Sunday

GREENSBORO, N.C. (July 19, 2024) – Eastern Music Festival (EMF), a summer educational program and renowned music festival, presents this summer’s Open House titled “Kaleidoscope.” Promising to be a highlight of the season, this event showcases the extraordinary talents of the Young Artists. On Sunday, July 21st, Dana Auditorium will host a series of FREE recitals, offering a unique glimpse into the diverse musical abilities of these young musicians.
The music doesn’t end there. Stick around for a pay-what-you-can evening performance by the talented EMF Orchestral Fellows.
Daytime Performances:
  • 1:00 PM – Young Artists Percussion Ensemble: Begin the musical journey with an exciting performance from the percussion ensemble, setting the tone for an afternoon of rhythmic exploration.
  • 3:00 PM – Young Artists Piano Recital: Continue with a captivating display of skill and passion as young pianists present an array of classical and contemporary pieces.
  • 5:00 PM – Young Artists Guitar Program Recital: Conclude the day with a vibrant guitar recital, featuring dynamic performances by talented young guitarists.
Each recital is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the young musicians, promising a day full of inspiration and exceptional artistry.

EMF Orchestral Fellows Present a “Pay-What-You-Can” Recital
GREENSBORO, N.C. (July 19, 2024) – Join for an extraordinary Pay-What-You-Can performance by the EMF Orchestral Fellows at 8:00 PM on July 21st in Dana Auditorium. This evening recital is part of the EMF Kaleidoscope open house and features a program of classical masterpieces:
  • Haydn’s Quartet in D minor, op.76 No. 2 “Quinten”
  • Peteris Vasks’ String Quartet No. 3
  • Dvořák’s String Quintet in G, op.77
