The Duke Collegium Musicum, directed by Roman Testroet, is devoted to the performance of early music, including Gregorian chant, Renaissance motets and madrigals, and Baroque sonatas and cantatas.
This concert, In Tune with our Feelings: Experiencing Emotion in Early Music, explores some of the most emotionally evocative music of the 15th and 16th centuries. It will feature vocal music by Palestrina, Tomkins, Aleotti, Victoria & others. Audience members are asked to bring their cell phones/tablets/laptops to participate in an interactive, real-time, audience-driven emotional response to the music!
