Chelsea S. Waddelow

Chelsea Stith

Chelsea S. Waddelow started writing as CVNC's first student intern in the summer of 2009. Upon graduation from Meredith College in 2011 with a B.M. in piano performance and a B.A. in composition, she joined the ranks of CVNC’s staff writers. Chelsea completed her masters in music therapy from Appalachian State University in May of 2015. She serves as the pianist for the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, works as the assistant conductor at yearly summer intensives held at Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony in Eureka Springs, AR, and has also had several original compositions and arrangements performed locally.  She is thrilled to live in an area with such wonderful artistic offerings. Chelsea believes that arts criticism should be interesting, informative, and challenging, and she strives to make her reviews a reflection of and response to the actual experience of attending a performance.
