Week Three of Eastern Music Festival's five-week season brings vibrant music and energy to a variety of Triad venues.

On Wednesday, July 11, EMF piano faculty Awadagin Pratt performs a solo recital at Guilford College's Dana Auditorium. Pratt is a world renowned Pianist and we are delighted to share this performance with the Greensboro community.

The Eastern Festival Orchestra Concert Series continues this week featuring some of the best musicians in the country and the world. On July 14, at 8:00 p.m., Eastern Festival Orchestra presents Crossing Currents, spotlighting world-renowned Pianist Misha Dichter who will perform Gershwin's Piano Concerto in F in Guilford College's Dana Auditorium. Crossing Currents is inspired by a concert written by the American composers Gershwin and Bernstein and the French composer Ravel.

Greensboro Downtown Parks joins Eastern Music Festival on Sunday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m. to bring EMF music to LeBauer Park. EMF Young Artists and EMF Conducting Fellows provide a FREE pops concert for downtown Greensboro which includes marches by John Phillip Sousa and the movie music of John Williams. The Young Artists will play another FREE concert Monday, July 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Hayworth Fine Arts Center at High Point University.

EMF continues through July 28 with performances by EMF's professional orchestra, Eastern Festival Orchestra, as well as our two Young Artists Orchestras, recitals by faculty ensembles, chamber music performances, master classes, workshops and outreach activities in venues around the Triad including Guilford College, UNCG, High Point University and Greensboro's new LeBauer Park.
