Originally from Greensboro, McDonald holds both a B.M. in Jazz Studies & Contemporary Media and a Certificate in World Music/Ethnomusicology from the Eastman School of Music. McDonald currently serves specialized presidential support as drummer for the U.S. Navy Band Commodores jazz ensemble and is completing a Ph.D. in musicology at The Catholic University of America. McDonald proudly endorses Zildjian cymbals, Ludwig drums, Vic Firth drumsticks, and Remo drumheads.

McDonald will be joined by pianist Reuben Allen and bassist Dave Baron. Inspired by Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, and Miles Davis, Allen began studying jazz and classical piano voraciously, earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Eastman School of Music in Jazz Performance and Jazz Composition/Arranging as well as the Artist Diploma in Jazz Studies from Juilliard. Allen currently lives in New York where he is an active performer and composer, and teaches jazz piano courses at the Juilliard Evening Division.

Bassist Dave Baron was accepted by the prestigious Eastman School of Music where he received his Bachelors of Music. He earned his master's degree in 2010 from the Juilliard School where he studied with bass legend Ron Carter. Today, Baron is a performer in high demand on the New York scene and around the world. His debut album, "Introducing Dave Baron" debuted in 2015 on the OutsideIn Music label, and is available on iTunes and at other major music outlets worldwide.
