December 2, 2018 - Durham, NC:

For the third straight season of the church's Concert Series, the husband-wife team of violinist Nicholas Kitchen and cellist Yeesun Kim, founding members of the Borromeo String Quartet, will be joined by longtime friend, pianist Meng-Chieh Liu, for an all Schubert program at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Durham. The concert will take place Sunday, December 2, at 4:00pm. A half-hour Pre-Concert Discussion will begin at 3:00pm and a reception will follow the concert. Tickets ($25) are available at the door with free admission for anyone 18 or under.

The program will consist of three stunning masterpieces by Schubert: the C major Fantasie for violin and piano, the "Arpeggione" Sonata for cello and piano, and the B-flat major Piano Trio, D. 898.

Liu, a classmate of Kitchen and Kim at Curtis, is now their colleague at the New England Conservatory. A recipient of the 2002 Avery Fisher Career Grant, he is also on the faculties of Curtis and Roosevelt University.

St. Stephen's is located at 82 Kimberly Drive, Durham, 27707. For further information call 919-698-5537.
