On November 17, MGS will feature an all-female piano trio performing Beethoven's beloved Archduke Trio, Turina's second piano trio, and the piano trio by female composer Jennifer Higdon. This exciting and eclectic collection of pieces will be presented by the faculty piano trio-in-residence at the University of the Pacific, Trio 180. Trio 180 is comprised of violinist Ann Miller, cellist Vicky Wang, and pianist Sonia Leong.
Trio 180 frequently performs programs encompassing a wide range of music from the Classical era to the present. They have commissioned and premiered a number of new works including works by Chen Yi, Robert Greenberg, Reinaldo Moya, and Cindy Cox to name a few. The trio also mentors young musicians and chamber music groups at the University of the Pacific as well as regularly presenting educational programs throughout California.

Music for a Great Space (MGS) is an independent non-profit musical arts organization bringing the finest musicians to the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina. The mission of Music for a Great Space is to present a series of inspiring musical performances and educational offerings, opening doors to the diverse cultural interests of the Piedmont Triad community.
