In Chapel Hill and Raleigh, the NC Symphony kicks off its 2022-2023 season with Pictures at an Exhibition, conducted by Carlos Miguel Prieto. Few works can match the orchestral color and sonic impact of Pictures at an Exhibition to display the virtuosity of the North Carolina Symphony. Hear it live when Music Director Designate Carlos Miguel Prieto conducts Ravel’s vivid orchestration of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
This season, Mr. Prieto is our Music Director Designate and will be with us twice more, for Mozart’s Requiem in February ‘23 and Mahler No.1 in May ‘23 (see sidebar for more event information).
