Program

 

DESCRIPTION:  The Town of Chapel Hill’s Public and Cultural Arts Office seeks to commission artists and organizations to conduct art projects that enhance and benefit downtown Chapel Hill.  All media, art forms, and art-related projects will be considered, including but not limited to performances, installations, events, and cultural or educational programming.  Area artists and organizations are encouraged to partner and apply.

ELIGIBILITY:  This program is open to individuals and non-profit organizations based in Orange, Durham, Chatham, Alamance or Wake Counties with ties to downtown Chapel Hill, North Carolina.  Selected artists and organizations must have general liability insurance.

PROJECT BUDGET:  Selected projects will be funded up to $2,500.  The funds received must be used for all expenses related to the concept, design and implementation of the project.  Projects that provide or employ additional resources through other partnerships will be given priority.  On-going projects may be eligible for additional funding.
