This South Indian classical music system has its own melodic and rhythmic schemes, in addition to a plethora of composers and song texts and unique indigenous instruments of ancient origin.... The concert will include an introduction and lecture segment, which will highlight some of the main aspects and characteristics of Carnatic music, and a performance segment, which will serve as a way for the audience to immerse in the traditional rendering of a Carnatic concert."
