Howrd Murry (1891-1968) was a prolific watercolorist from Charlotte who later lived in the Watauga resort town of Valle Crucis. This exhibition, which bright to light his work after decades of no exposure, hopes to highlight the beauty and majest of the North Carolina mountains along with genre scens from daily life in that region. Murry vacationed in Edisto Isalnd, SC and many of the 40 works in this exhibition are coastal in nature.
