Tue., Mar. 28, 2017 ( Fri., May. 27, 2016 - Sat., Apr. 1, 2017 )
Turchin Center for the Visual Arts, 423 W. King Street, Boone, NC 28607
The ten monumental works in the exhibition, which will be on view through April 1, 2017, were selected by this year’s juror Willie Ray Parish, the Mississippi-born artist and educator who ran the University of Texas at El Paso’s Sculpture Program for almost 30 years and whose own works are in numerous public and private collections.
All ten sculptures are now officially up for the viewing, but a summer highlight for the Boone art world is always the Rosen Sculpture Walk, part of An Appalachian Summer Festival, which offers participants a fascinating journey into the world of contemporary sculpture through the eyes of the juror.
