Choral Music Letter to the Editor
On CVNC's 5/16/10 Review of the NC Master Chorale's Performance of Bach's Mass in B Minor
May 24, 2010 - Winston-Salem, NC:
To the Editor:
I was surprised to find no mention of the horn solo in "Quoniam tu solus sanctus" in Steve Row's review of the NC Master Chorale's May 16th performance of the B-minor Mass. He lists many members of the orchestra, but no mention is made of Mike Hrivnak, who played the difficult solo part very well by all accounts I have heard. I wasn't able to attend the concert, but I didn't want Mike's contribution to go by unnoticed or unmentioned.
