Orchestral Music Letter to the Editor

On CVNC's 10/22/10 Review of the NC Symphony's all-Tchaikovsky concert in Raleigh

October 25, 2010 - Received by e-mail :

To the Editor:

Just in case you haven’t found it, Eugene Ormandy’s Tchaikovsky 7th Symphony,  coincidentally paired with Leonard Rose’s Rococo Variations, has been licensed to ArkivMusic.

The Ormandy recording, in all its black-and-gold splendor, was a revelation to this 10-year old when it came in the mail as a Columbia Record Club new release. I only had to wait nearly 50 years to hear it live.
