CVNC is a 501c3 non-profit organization with a board that is representative of our community's most experienced and knowledgeable arts leaders. They are Jennifer L. Spiker (of Raleigh), Chair; Richard Ruggero (Raleigh), Vice-Chair; Joel Adams (Raleigh), Treasurer; and Pati Darak Barrow (Chapel Hill), Secretary. Our immediate past Chair is Godfrey Herndon (Durham), and our other directors are John Gooch (Greensboro), Eric Hale (Raleigh), William L. Hampton (Durham), Jerrold "Jerry" Posner (Raleigh), Charles and Shirley Weiss (Chapel Hill), Anna Ludwig Wilson (Durham), and Eileen Youens (Raleigh).

Under the leadership and guidance of our founding directors, we prepared our bylaws, obtained our incorporation papers and our tax ID number, secured the blessings of the NC Department of Revenue, and sought IRS approval of our 501c3 application, which we received on December 17, 2002.

CVNC's evolution and growth continue under the leadership of Executive Editor John W. Lambert; Editor Roger A. Cope, appointed September 2006; and Manager Carolyn Kohring, appointed November 2005
